Fellow Compatriots,
The NMSCV's 1st Brigade will have it's first 2009 meeting on Sat, Jan 31. The meeting will convene at 1:00pm at at Temple Lodge #6, 3801 Osuna Blvd in Albuquerque, NM. The meeting agenda will include -- but not be limited to -- the following
☞ Division commander's opening remarks
☞ Division financial status for 2009
☞ Division-1st brigade-camps 1385 & 2075 objectives for 2009
☞ Discussion of Jan-Jun 2009 activities to include Feb Socorro meeting; March 27-29 NPS CW weekend; & April Confederate Memorial Day event, etc.

Fellow Compatriots,
On Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Hillsboro, NM cemetery starting on or about 11am the Brigadier General Charles Crews Memorial will occur. General Crews' family relations (kin), as well as members  of the 1st (Highlands) Brigade and 2nd (Southern) Brigade, NMDIV-SCV and town citizens will be present for the ceremony.
The 2nd Brigade will arrive around 10am with the 1st Brigade arriving on or about 1030am. At the conclusion of the event light refreshments and a lunch will be served at the Hillsboro General Store & Country Cafe courtesy of the NMSCV Division.
We are expecting from 30-45 persons for the Memorial.

Fellow Compatriots,
The NMSCV in partnership with the TX Division of the UDC, the Glorieta Battlefield Coalition & the Pecos National Historical Park dedicated the Texas Vista Site on the Glorieta Battlefield during Aug 1-2, 2008. This dedication event culminated a year's intensive effort by many people including several NMSCV members. The Texas Vista Site is an achievement we all can be proud of and I invite you to learn more by clicking here.
