Description:

A clinical research study is currently looking for children ages 12-17 with a diagnosis of alopecia areata who have lost 10% or more of the hair on their head to participate in a study of a topical investigational drug.

During the course of this study, some people will receive the investigational product and some placebo (a substance that has no therapeutic effect) for the first 4 months. You will have a 2 in 3 chance of receiving the investigational product and a 1 in 3 chance of receiving a placebo. After the initial 4 months are completed, participants may receive the investigational product for an additional 8 months where there will be no placebo. The study will explore whether the investigational drug is safe and can help regrow hair. This study will last a period of up to 15 months and up to 16 visits.
Your participation in this study is at no cost to you.

You may qualify to participate if you:
• Are 12-17 years of age
• Have been diagnosed with alopecia areata
• Have at least 10% scalp hair loss
